Before placing any cfds trading on the MetaTrader 4 cfds trading software, you'll be required to log in to your cfd account and get authenticated before gaining access. Authentication is checking to see if the cfd login details you provide for Username & Password are correct details.

To begin trading on MetaTrader 4 platform, just click on 'File', then tap and click "Sign in" button key from the file drop down menu as illustrated below.

As a trader once you click this log in button key, then a pop up window panel will pop-up prompting you to in put your Username and Password as illustrated and shown below:

Once you input your User Name & Password you will then have to select the server: because this is a demo cfds trading account, for this instance you will then select 'Demo', if it was a real cfd trading account/live cfds trading account then you would have to choose 'Real' Server on this option by clicking on drop-down arrow on the right side of the above text box.

Then check box 'Save Account Information'

Then Click 'Sign in'

Once you click login your cfd login details will be authenticated and you will then have access to your MT4 cfd account and when logged in to your cfd account you can begin to trade and place new orders in the cfd market on the MT4 platform. If you do not have cfd login details you can get these details by registering a practice trading account with a cfd broker. To login to a real cfd account you will need to open a real trading account first with your cfds broker.

Once you log in you can then check your account balance and set up your cfds trades. To know that you've logged in to the correct cfd account you can check the details as shown below: (You will need to open Navigator Window: Short Cut Keyboard Keys, Press Both CTRL+N on your keyboard)

If you have many cfd accounts on the same MT4 software platform, these accounts will all be listed on this option, you can double click on the account icon to select the cfd account you want to login to from this navigator window.
