Periodicity is commonly referred to as CFDs Chart Time Frames by many cfds traders. On the MT5 cfds software.
The button key below is used to select the periodicity or cfd chart timeframe to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MT5 software as shown below.

- 1 Min Chart Time Frame - M1
- 5 Minute CFD Chart Timeframe - M5
- 15 Minute CFD Chart Time Frame - M15
- 30 Minutes CFD Chart Time Frame - M30
- 1 Hour CFD Chart Timeframe - H1
- 4 Hours CFD Chart Time Frame - H4
- Daily CFD Chart Time Frame - D1
- Weekly CFD Chart Timeframe - W1
- Monthly CFD Chart Timeframe - MN
How to Know Which CFDs Chart Timeframe You are Using
A common question especially if you are new to cfd would be how to identify which cfd chart timeframe you are using on your MetaTrader 5 cfds trading platform:
There are various methods of knowing which MT5 cfd chart timeframe you're using as Shown below:
Use the above Menu as Shown above
In the above cfd example once you select the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of cfd MT5 chart timeframes is shown and the cfds chart timeframe that is currently selected, the one that you are using will be highlighted with a different color, on our above example this is the 1 Hour(H1) cfd chart timeframe, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.
MT5 CFDs Chart Change Chart Timeframe - How to Change MT5 CFDs Chart Time-frame
This MT5 periodicity MT5 toolbar is by default located at the top of the MetaTrader 5 cfds trading platform & has all cfds chart timeframes marked as shown below. The chart timeframe that a trader is using will be marked differently from the other cfd chart timeframes, the selected cfd chart timeframe will be "indented" as shown below:
Use the information displayed at the top left corner to get MT5 CFDs Chart Time-frame
At the top left corner of the cfd MT5 chart, the MT5 cfd chart timeframe is displayed as shown below:

When you open a cfd chart you can then use the above three methods to know which periodicity - cfd chart time frame you're trading with.
You can also use the tabs, if you are trading many cfd charts. To view this tab, Go to "View Menu" then Select "Charts Bar". The following MetaTrader 5 bar will appear that you can use to navigate and it indicates the cfds as well as the cfds chart time frame.
