Place ATR Indicator on Chart in MT4
This Tutorial will show you how to place the Average True Range Indicator on Trading Chart on the MetaTrader 4 platform. For Analysis: Analysis of Average True Range.
How to Place Indicators on MetaTrader 4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Software Platform Navigator Window Panel
Open Navigator window such as shown below - Navigate to the 'View' menu (then click on it) and then select and choose 'Navigator' window (press), or From Standard Toolbar click 'Navigator' button or press key-board shortcut key 'Ctrl+N'
On Navigator window, choose "Indicators", (DoublePress)
Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator
Expand technical indicator menu by clicking expand button mark (+) or double click 'indicators' menu, after that, this button will then now appear as (-) & will now show as a list like is shown below.
From Above panel you then can add any indicator which you as the trader want on the chart.
Placing ATR on Trading Chart
Step 1: Select the Average True Range button on the MetaTrader 4 list of technical indicators such as shown below:
Step 2: Double click the Average True Range Button, & click okay to add the ATR on chart just as shown below:
Edit Indicator Settings
To Adjust the Settings, rightclick on the ATR, choose properties setting & then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu that pops and then click okay button once you've changed the setting.
Following pop up window appears & Average True Range Trading Indicator properties settings can be altered & edited from this popup window.
