Once you have opened a practice account the next step is to open a XAUUSD chart so as to start trading.

For this example let's begin with a blank screen on the MT5 interface.

To open a new chart from the xauusd example illustrated & explained below, click 'File' tab at the tops left corner as shown below, then choose the option 'New Chart'.
