How to Add and Modify XAUUSD Stop Loss Orders on MetaTrader 4

XAUUSD stop loss orders are xauusd orders used to automatically close open xauusd trades in MT4 software. XAUUSD stop loss orders are used by traders to help reduce xauusd losses & close open xauusd trades once these xauusd trades moves against the traders' position by a specified number of xauusd pips.

Stop-Loss orders can be set when opening new xauusd trades & stop loss orders can also be set for already opened xauusd trades.

How to Set Gold Stop Loss Orders When Opening New Gold Trades

1. Open a XAUUSD trading chart for the xauusd instrument you want to trade
2. Right Click on the XAUUSD Chart
3. Select New Order button
4. Choose the Set Stop-Loss Option within this New Order xauusd trading window
5. Specify your Stop Loss level for the xauusd trade that you want to open
6. Select buy or sell to open a gold trade

For a buy xauusd trade the xauusd stop loss order is set below the xauusd price quote you want to buy at & for a sell xauusd trade the xauusd stop loss order is set above the xauusd price quote you want to sell at.

Select xauusd trade you want to modify from MetaTrader 4 xauusd trade transactions window

1. Right click on the xauusd trade order & choose Modify Order
2. Select Stop Loss Field
3. Specify the Stop Loss level for the gold trade
4. Click the Modify Order Button
