How to Add & Modify XAUUSD Stop Loss Orders on MT4
XAUUSD stop loss orders are xauusd orders used to automatically close open xauusd trades in MetaTrader 4 software. XAUUSD stop loss orders are used by traders to help reduce xauusd losses & close open xauusd trades once these xauusd trades moves against the traders' position by a specified number of xauusd pips.
Stop-Loss orders can be set when opening new xauusd trades & stop loss orders can also be set for already opened xauusd trades.
How to Set XAUUSD Stop Loss Orders When Opening New Gold Trades
- Open a XAUUSD trading chart for the xauusd instrument you want to trade
- Right Click on the XAUUSD Chart
- Select New Order button
- Choose the Set Stop-Loss Option within this New Order xauusd trading window
- Specify your Stop Loss level for the xauusd trade that you want to open
- Choose buy or sell to open a gold trading trade
For a buy xauusd trade the xauusd stop loss order is set below the xauusd price quote you want to buy at and for a sell xauusd trade the xauusd stop loss order is set above the xauusd price quote you want to sell at.
How to Set XAUUSD Stop Loss Orders for Open Gold Trades
Select xauusd trade you want to modify from the MetaTrader 4 xauusd trade transactions window
- Right click on the xauusd trade order & select Modify Order
- Select Stop Loss Field
- Specify the Stop Loss level for the gold trading trade
- Click the Modify Order Button Key
