The MT4 platform status bar is used to show if there's a connection to the servers or not, if there's a connection to the trading server, then a trader can place trades to the online market using MetaTrader 4 charts. To see the status bars on the MT4 platform, a trader has to use the "Status Bar" button in the 'View' menu choices like the picture shows below, Click to check, and once you check it, the MetaTrader 4 status bar will appear at the lower right of your MT4 Platform.

MetaTrader 4 Platform Connectivity Indication: The connection status is visualized via bars on the Status Bar: Green Bars signify an active, online connection, whereas Red Bars denote an offline status. The disruption can stem from either your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the broker's server. Typically, the ISP is the more frequent culprit, as brokers generally maintain two to three redundant servers, making it highly improbable for all of them to simultaneously fail, even momentarily.
