Templates on the Charts Menu in the MT5 Software Platform
On the MT5 gold platform, the templates tab is located within the charts menu. Many traders use the MT5 template to save their trading systems, which enables them to add trade systems on new charts directly from this template option without having to manually input the chart indicators each time they open a new chart. Traders may also utilize these MT5 template options to save more than one gold template and continuously switch between different MT5 chart templates when trading on MT5 charts. This is referred to as the MT5 Change Template.
The Templates Option on the MT5 is Shown Below:
Save a System as a Template in MetaTrader 5 Platform Software
E.g. as a trader you might & may make a system cited below.
This system takes 5 minutes to set-up, It would take five min to set it up on each chart you open. But the MT5 chart template will save you this time by saving this trading strategy as a MT5 chart template & to place this MT5 chart template on to another chart you only need to load the MT5 chart template on the MT5 Software Platform.
To keep this trading plan, go to the MT5 chart settings in the charts area of MT5 and save it as a MT5 chart template.
After pressing the save MT5 chart template button, the following popup will appear, allowing you to save the MetaTrader 5 chart template and give it a name, as seen in the picture below.
The first step is to give the MetaTrader 5 chart template a name, we name our MT5 chart template as tradeforextrading & click the save button.
MT5 Change Template on MT5 Platform Software
On the MetaTrader 5 software, go to the charts menu, click the MT5 chart templates button, and select the load MT5 chart template sub-menu item to load a MT5 chart template. The specified MT5 chart template will be loaded onto the new chart as indicated below.
The named MT5 chart template on the MT5 Platform Software is shown & displayed on the list above: this is a quick way to get to the MT5 chart templates that have been saved on the MetaTrader 5 software. Another choice is to use the 'Load Template', which is the second item marked & labeled as 'Load Template' on the MetaTrader 5 chart template menu options on the MetaTrader 5.
MT5 Change Template Remove Template
The third option in the MT5 chart template sub menus is the remove MT5 chart template: this sub-menu item will delete any MT5 chart template that is loaded on the chart.
