Place On Balance Volume Indicator in Chart on MT5
The OBV On Balance Volume volume technical indicator can be used as a reversal technical indicator, gold exit indicator or xauusd entry indicator. This OBV indicator lesson will explain how to add the On Balance Volume indicator on a MT5 chart on the MT5 Software - MT5 platform.
How to Place OBV Gold MT5 Indicator in MT5 Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window
Open the Navigator window panel as shown below - Navigate to the 'View' menu (then click it) & then select 'Navigator' panel window (click), or From Standard Tool Bar click 'Navigator' button or press key-board short cut key 'Ctrl+N'
On Meta Trader 5 Navigator panel, select "Technical Indicators", (DoubleClick)
Step 2: Expand MT5 Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand menu by clicking expand + button marker (+) or doubleclick 'indicators' menu, after this the MetaTrader 5 button will appear as (-) and will now show as a list as shown below.
From Above window panel you can then add any Meta Trader 5 technical indicator that you want in the Meta Trader 5 chart. The OBV On Balance Volume volume technical indicator can be used as a reversal technical indicator, xauusd exit indicator or gold entry indicator.
Placing On Balance Volume Indicator in Trading Chart
Step 1: Select the On Balance Volume button on the MT5 list of technical indicators as illustrated below:
Step 2: Doubleclick the On Balance Volume Button, & click okay button to add the OBV On Balance Volume Technical Indicator on the trading chart as illustrated below:
Edit OBV Indicator Settings
To Adjust Settings, right click on OBV On Balance Volume Technical Indicator, choose properties setting & then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu which pops and then click ok button once you have changed the setting.
Following pop-up window appears & On Balance Volume Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up window.
