Place OBV Technical Indicator in Chart in MT5 Software Platform
The OBV volume technical technical indicator can be used as a reversal indicator, gold exit technical indicator or xauusd/gold entry indicator. This OBV indicator lesson will explain how to add the On Balance Volume indicator on a MT5 chart on the MetaTrader 5 Software Platform - MT5 software.
How to Add OBV Gold MT5 Indicator in MT5 Charts
Step 1: Open The Software Platform Navigator Window Panel
Open the Navigator panel window just as is illustrated and shown below - Navigate to the 'View' menu (then click it) and then select and choose 'Navigator' window (press), or From Standard Toolbar click 'Navigator' button or press key-board short cut key 'Ctrl+N'
On MetaTrader Five Navigator panel, select "Technical Indicators", (DoubleClick)
Step 2: Expand MT5 Technical Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand the menu by clicking the unfold (+) tool feature + or doubleclick 'indicators' menu, after this the MT5 button will appear be shown as (-) and will now show as a list like shown below.
From Above panel window you can then add any MetaTrader Five technical indicator which you want in the MetaTrader 5 chart. The OBV volume technical technical indicator can be used as a reversal technical indicator, xauusd exit indicator or gold entry indicator.
Placing OBV Technical Indicator in Chart
Step 1: Select the OBV button on the MT5 list of indicators just as illustrated and shown below:
Step 2: Doubleclick the OBV Button, & click okay to add the OBV OBV Technical Indicator on the trading chart like as illustrated and shown below:
Edit OBV Indicator Settings
To Adjust Settings, right click in OBV On Balance Volume Trading Indicator, choose properties setting and then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu which pops and then click okay button once you've changed the setting.
Following pop up window appears and On Balance Volume Technical Indicator properties settings can be altered & edited from this pop-up window.
