How to Add Indicators on MT4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window Panel

Open Navigator window such as illustrated - Navigate & go to "View" menu (then click on it) & then select & choose the "Navigator" panel (press), or From Standard ToolBar click the "Navigator" button or press key-board shortcut keys "Ctrl+N"

On Navigator window, select "Indicators", (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking the magnify (+) tool/button mark off ed and tagged (+) or doubleclick the "indicators" menu, and after which this particular button key will then now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a listing just as is illustrated and shown below.

From the Above panel window you can then add any indicator you want on the chart.

Setting Standard Deviation in a Trading Chart

Step 1: Choose the Standard Deviations button on the MetaTrader 4 list of indicators such as shown below:

Step 2: Doubleclick the Standard Deviations Button, & click okay button to add the technical indicator to the chart as portrayed and illustrated and shown below:

Edit Indicator Settings

To adjust the settings, right-click on the Standard Deviation Indicator, select properties settings, then modify the properties through the appearing pop-up menu before clicking the okay button after making your adjustments.
