Commodities Buy and Sell on MT4 Commodities Trading Charts

To open a buy or a sell commodity trade on the MetaTrader 4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Commodities Symbol you want to open a Commodities Trade with, open the commodities chart of the commodity symbol by double clicking on the commodities trading price quote, then from the commodities chart open a commodity buy or sell commodity trade using the MT4 order window shown below:

Place New Order in Tools Menu on MT4 Platform

A new buy or sell order to buy or sell a commodity instrument can be found on the tools menu found within the MT4 Commodity Trading Platform. The 'New Order' button for placing a new trade transaction on the MT4 platform is shown below. (Keyboard Short Cut Keys 'F9')

Placing a New Commodity Trading Order

As a commodity trader, once you select the new order button as illustrated and shown above the following trade order popup window will appear. This pop up includes the settings for placing a new commodities trade.

Choose Buy to open a Buy Trade

Select Sell to open a Sell Trade

Following Settings are specified for setting and placing a new commodities trade order:

1. Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded - commodity.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Commodities Order - Set StopLoss Commodity Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending commodity orders
4. Take Profit Commodities Order - Set Take Profit Commodity Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending commodity orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Commodity Trading Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current commodities trading price select Buy by Market button

To Sell at current commodities trading price select the Sell by Market button
