Place ADX Technical Indicator
This Tutorial will explain how to add the ADX trading indicator on charts on the MT4 Platform. For Technical analysis: ADX Analysis.
How to Add Indicators on MT4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Software Platform Navigator Window Panel
Open the Navigator panel just as illustrated below - Go to the "View" menu (then click it) & then select and choose "Navigator" window panel (click), or From Standard ToolBar click the "Navigator" button key or press key-board shortcut keys "Ctrl+N"
On the Navigator panel, choose and select "Indicators", (Double Press)
Step 2: Expand Indicator Menu on the Navigator
Expand the technical indicator menu by pressing the magnify(+)tool button marker ' + ' or doubleclick the "indicators" menu, after that, this button will then now appear as (-) & will now show as a listing just as is illustrated below.
From the Above window you then can add any indicator which you as the trader want on the chart.
Placing Average Directional Movement on a Chart
Step 1: Select the ADX button on the MetaTrader 4 list of indicators just as shown below:
Step 2: DoubleClick the ADX Button, & press ok to place and set the technical indicator onto the chart as pictured below:
Edit ADX Setting
To Adjust the Settings, right click in the ADX, select properties setting & then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu which pops & then click okay button once you've changed the settings.
The following pop up window appears & ADX settings can be altered and edited from this pop-up window.
