Place ADX Technical Indicator

This Lesson will explain how to place the ADX indicator on charts on the MetaTrader 4 Platform. For Technical analysis: ADX Analysis.

How to Place Technical Indicators on Meta Trader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click it) & then choose "Navigator" window (click), or From Standard ToolBar click the "Navigator" button key or press keyboard short-cut keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator panel, choose "Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand the Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the indicator menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double-click the "indicators" menu, after that, this button key will then now appear as (-) and will now show as a listing as illustrated below.

From the Above panel you then can add any indicator you want on the chart.

Placing Average Directional Movement on a Chart

Step 1: Select the ADX button on the MT4 list of indicators as pictured below:

Step 2: Double-click the ADX Button, & click ok to place the technical indicator in the chart as pictured below:

Edit ADX Indicator Setting

To Adjust the Settings, right click in the ADX, select properties setting & then edit the properties of the indicator using the popup menu that pops up & then click okay button key once you've changed the settings.

The following popup window appears & ADX settings can be edited from this pop up window.
