Place Moving Average Indicator in Chart on MT4

How to Place XAUUSD Indicators on Meta Trader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click it) & then choose "Navigator" window (click), or From Standard Tool bar click "Navigator" button key or press keyboard short cut keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator panel, choose "Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand the XAUUSD Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking expand button marked (+) or doubleclick "indicators" menu, after this the button will then now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a list as illustrated below.

From the Above panel you can then add any indicator you want on the chart.

Placing MA on Chart

Step 1: Select the Moving Average button on the MT4 list of technical indicators as pictured below:

Step 2: Double-click the Moving Average Button Key, & click okay to place the indicator on the chart as shown below:

Edit Indicator Setting

To Adjust the Settings, right click in the Trading Indicator, select properties setting & then edit the properties of the indicator using the popup menu that pops up & then click okay button once you've changed the settings.

The following pop up panel appears and Trading Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up window.
