How to Save MT4 Template Trade Strategy

On MT4, you might want to save the your workspace or the the trade system that you're trading with so that to easily load it the next time you sign in.

On the Software Platform There are Two Ways for Saving

The Work-Space - The work-space is the charts which you've opened along with the information on these trading charts such as the attached trading systems. Saving a workspace will save all this data and you as a gold trader can use easily load this information any other time in your software.

On the workspace button on the MetaTrader 4 (shown below) a trader can save several different work spaces & load them at another time.

Template - The template in other words is the trade system you are using to trade with. For illustration you've just placed a set of 4 indicators on your chart, but you also trade other charts & you do not want to re-do all the work of putting and placing the same technical indicators on the other charts all over again, so what do you do? You save it as a template and then load it on the other charts. But how does a trader do this on the Platform MT4.

From screenshot below all a xauusd trader has to do is to click the buttons below Templates Icon and select the "Save Template" Button.

If as a trader you want to save the above gold strategy on your MetaTrader 4 platform, press the templates button as illustrated above, then choose "Save Templates" as illustrated above, then specify the "name" of the trading system & click the "okay".

To load and add a template on to another chart, click the "Load Template Button" as shown above, then choose the path of where to load the trading system from. You can even choose to download a trade system template, if you have downloaded, or want to choose a trading template that is saved from another MT4 of another broker within your PC computer drive C: / Programs / MT4 / templates / Name of System.

To load and add a template, there is a shortcut listing of saved templates press on item on the short-cut listed to load it.

Saving a Work-Space

To save a workspace (not a template) which is a collection of the open charts & all the indicators attached to these trading charts on the Software, Click the "Save Work-Space" button key illustrated below.

Load a Workspace on MT4

Saving the above Work-Space - Press "Save Profile", and choose the profile with the name "Euro"

To load this Workspace anytime, press the short-cut above that's marked "Euro"

To load the British Pound Workspace, press the above short-cut that is marked & labeled "British Pound"

When trading you as a trader can "load" or "save" a template or workspace and then place it on another chart by simply clicking on one platform button provided as shown above, this makes it is easier to trade with the MetaTrader 4 Platform Software.
