MT4 Chart Time Frames: Periodicity on Energies Charts on MetaTrader 4 Software

Periodicity is commonly referred to as Energies Chart Time Frames by many traders. On the MT4 trading platform.

The button below is used to select the periodicity or energies chart timeframe to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MT4 software as instanced below.

MT4 Chart Time Frames

On MetaTrader 4 trading platform these energies chart timeframes are:

1. 1 Min Chart Time Frame - M1
2. 5 Minute Energies Chart Timeframe - M5
3. 15 Minute Energies Chart Timeframe - M15
4. 30 Minutes Energies Chart Timeframe - M30
5. 1 Hour Energies Chart Timeframe - H1
6. 4 Hours Energies Chart Timeframe - H4
7. Daily Energies Chart Timeframe - D1

How to Know Which Chart Time Frame You are Using

A common question especially if you are new to energies would be how to identify which chart timeframe you are using on your MT4 energies software:

There are various methods of knowing which MT4 chart timeframe you're using as Dislayed below:

Use the above Menu as Shown above

In the above energies example once you choose the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of energies MT4 chart timeframes is shown and the energies chart timeframe that's currently chooseed, the one that you're using will be highlighted with a different color, on our above example this is the 1 Hour(H1) chart timeframe, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.

How to Use Periodicity Toolbar - MT4 Chart Change Chart Time Frame

This MetaTrader 4 periodicity tool-bar is by default located at the top of the MT4 trading platform & has all the energies chart timeframes highlighted as instanced below. The chart timeframe that one is using will be marked differently from the other energies chart timeframes, the selected energies chart timeframe will be "indented" as shown below:

Use the information displayed at the top left corner to get MT4 Chart Time Frame

When you open a chart you can then use above three methods to know which periodicity - chart timeframe you are trading with.

You can also use the tabs, if you are trading many energies charts. To view this tab, Go to "View Menu" then Select "Charts Bar". The following MetaTrader 4 bar will appear that you can use to navigate & it demonstrates the energies as well as the energies chart timeframe.
