Place On Balance Volume Indicator in Chart on MetaTrader 4
The OBV On Balance Volume volume technical indicator can be used as a reversal technical indicator, gold exit indicator or xauusd entry indicator. This OBV indicator tutorial will explain how to add the OBV indicator on a Chart on the MT4 Software - MT4 platform.
How to Place OBV Indicator on MT4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window
Open the Navigator panel window as illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click it) & then choose "Navigator" window (press), or From Standard ToolBar click "Navigator" button or press key-board shortcut keys "Ctrl+N"
On the Navigator panel, choose "Technical Indicators", (DoublePress)
Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator
Expand the menu by pressing expand button marker (+) or doubleclick "indicators" menu, after this the button will then now appear as (-) and will now be shown as a listing as illustrated below.
From the Above panel you can then add any technical indicator you as the trader want on the chart. The OBV On Balance Volume volume technical indicator can be used as a reversal technical indicator, gold exit indicator or xauusd entry trading indicator.
Placing On Balance Volume Trading Indicator on Chart
Step 1: Select the On Balance Volume button key in MT4 list of technical indicators as displayed below:
Step 2: Double click the On Balance Volume Button, and press ok to add the OBV On Balance Volume Technical Indicator on the trading chart as shown below:
Edit OBV Indicator Settings
To Adjust Settings, rightclick in OBV On Balance Volume Technical Indicator, select properties setting & then edit properties of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu that pops & then click okay button key once you have changed the settings.
The following popup window appears & On Balance Volume Trading Indicator settings can be edited from this popup window.
