How Can You Tell a Bullish Trend? - How Can You Define a Bullish Trend?
XAUUSD gold prices closing with higher highs and higher lows indicate an upward or bullish trend. The definition of a bullish xauusd gold market is as follows.
The example shown and explained below defines the bullish trend setup

Simple Way to Identify Gold Bullish Trend & Upward Trends
Gold Trend is the market tendency of prices to move in a specific direction for a period of time
For an Upward trend the price will move in a general market direction upwards.
This means the prices will close higher than they opened.
Upward Trend
An ascending trend line is drawn beneath the pattern by connecting a minimum of two low points. This action creates a line visually representing the market's general directional bias.
The example below shows price action in a bullish uptrend. Prices rise and create support zones.
Given that markets move in a zigzag pattern, traders often draw upward trendlines to highlight the general bullish direction.

Meaning of a Upwards Trend
An increasing trend is characterized by the market consistently forming successive higher peaks and higher troughs. Every successive peak surpasses the preceding one (higher high), and every successive trough exceeds the preceding one (higher low).
Up trend trendlines become stronger each time the price tests/touches these lines but does not go below the upward trendline. A gold up trend stays strong until the series of higher highs and higher lows is broken - the up-wards trend line is broken, and price goes below the upward trend-line.
