MT4 CFDs Chart Time Frames: Periodicity on CFDs Charts in MetaTrader 4 Platform
Periodicity is commonly referred to as CFDs Chart Time Frames by many cfds traders. On the MetaTrader 4 cfds platform.
The button below is used to select the periodicity or cfd chart timeframe to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MT4 software as shown below.

On the MT4 cfds software these cfd chart timeframes are:
- 1 Min Chart Time Frame - M1
- 5 Minute CFD Chart Time-frame - M5
- 15 Minute CFD Chart Time Frame - M15
- 30 Minutes CFD Chart Time Frame - M30
- 1 Hour CFD Chart Time-frame - H1
- 4 Hours CFD Chart Time Frame - H4
- Daily CFD Chart Time Frame - D1
- Weekly CFD Chart Time-frame - W1
- Monthly CFD Chart Time-frame - MN
How to Know Which CFDs Chart Time-frame You are Using
A common question especially if you're new to cfd would be how to identify which cfd chart timeframe you are using on your MT4 cfds trading platform:
There are various methods of knowing which MetaTrader 4 cfd chart time frame you're using as Shown below:
Use the above Menu as Shown above
In the above cfd example once you select the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of cfd MT4 chart timeframes is shown and the cfds chart timeframe that is currently selected, the one that you are using will be highlighted with a different color, on our above example this is the 1 Hour(H1) cfd chart timeframe, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.
MT4 CFDs Chart Change Chart Time-frame - How to Change MT4 CFDs Chart Timeframe
This MT4 periodicity toolbar is by default located at the top of the MT4 cfds software & has all cfds chart timeframes marked as shown below. The chart timeframe that a trader is using will be marked differently from other cfd chart timeframes, the selected cfd chart timeframe will be "indented" as shown below:

When you open a cfd chart you can then use above three methods to know which periodicity - cfd chart time frame you are trading with.
You can also use the tabs, if you are trading many cfd charts. To view this tab, Go to "View Menu" then Select "Charts Bar". The following MT4 bar will appear that you can use to navigate and it indicates the cfds as well as the cfds chart timeframe.
