Place New Order in Tools Menu on MetaTrader 4 Software

A new order to buy or sell a trade can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Platform. Button key for placing a new trade is displayed below. (Keyboard ShortCut Keys 'F9')

Placing a New Metals Order

As a metals trader, once you choose the new order button key as illustrated above the following window pop up will appear. This pop up window includes the settings for placing a new trade.

The Following Settings are specified for setting up & placing a new order:

1. Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Metal Order - Set Stop Loss Metals Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending metals orders
4. Take Profit Metal Order - Set Take Profit Metals Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending metals orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Metal Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current metals price hit Buy by Market button key

To Sell at current metals price hit Sell by Market button key

Setting Pending Metals Orders

To Set a pending trade at another metals price, Change the 'Type' option from 'Market Execution' to "Pending Metals Order" as shown below.

A menu list will pop-up & show the following options.

1. Buy Limit Metals Order
2. Sell Limit Metals Order
3. Buy Stop Metals Order
4. Sell Stop Metals Order

Once you choose the type of pending metals order to place: then click the 'Place' button key as shown on the above screen-shot to complete the setup.
