Place On Balance Volume Indicator on Stocks Chart in MT4 Software

This OBV stock indicator tutorial will explain how to place the On Balance Volume indicator on a Stock Chart on the MT4 Stock Trading Platform - MetaTrader 4 stocks trading platform.

How to Place OBV Indicator in MetaTrader 4 Stocks Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window Panel

Open Navigator window panel as illustrated and shown below - Go to " View " menu (then click) & then choose the " Navigator " window panel (click), or From Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button or press keyboard short-cut key "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator window panel, choose 'Technical Indicators' , (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand the Stock Trading Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking on the expand button marker (+) or double click the "indicators" menu, after that, this button key will now then appear as (-) and will now display as a list as illustrated & shown below.

From Above window you can then add any technical indicator that you want on the stocks chart. The OBV stock trading volume technical indicator can be used as a stock trading reversal indicator, stock trading exit indicator or stock entry indicator.

Placing On Balance Volume Stock Indicator on Stocks Trading Chart

Step 1: Select the On Balance Volume button in MetaTrader 4 list of technical indicators as shown below:

Step 2: Double click the On Balance Volume Button, and click okay to place the OBV Indicator on the chart as illustrated & shown below:

To Adjust the Settings, right click in the On Balance Volume Technical Indicator, select properties settings & then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop up menu that pops up and then click ok button key after you change settings.

The following popup panel appears and On Balance Volume Technical Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up.
