Grid, Volumes, Auto Scroll and MT4 Chart Shift Options on MetaTrader 4
MetaTrader 4 Grid
The MetaTrader 4 grid button on the charts menu option of the MT4 Software is used to draw grid lines as shown below. One may prefer to trade with grids on the chart or not and will use this button key to explain or hide the Grid.
The MT4 Grid button is shown below (Short-cut for this menu is Ctrl+G)
MetaTrader 4 Volumes Indicator
Volumes in Gold represent tick volumes or the number of times the tick for price changes during a particular time period. The more the tick shifts the greater the volumes. These volumes in Gold are used to estimate the number of traders who participate in the market.
Volumes are plotted as green bars below each candlestick, and the height of these green bars represent the tick volume for a particular candle. (Short Cut button for Volumes : Ctrl+L)
MetaTrader 4 Auto Scroll
Auto scroll when it's activated will automatically scroll to most current gold candle bar for every chart that is opened. Therefore, the most recent information is displayed & as a trader you don't have to scroll to these recent gold candle bars every time you open a new chart.
MT4 Charts Shift
This MT4 Chart Shift button is used to shift the chart more towards the center, instead of the last candlestick being right at the right side of the MetaTrader 4 software, MetaTrader 4 chart shift button will shift the recent most gold candle-stick towards the center. Traders prefer to trade with recent most gold candle-stick shifted toward the mid - this makes it easier to analyze the chart price moves when they're more towards the center.
For example, the MT4 Charts Shift button is cited below as an arrow pointing down, by pressing this MetaTrader 4 charts shift button within the chart menus(highlighted below by a rectangle), the last candlestick will shift from the right and move up to this point as shown in the MT4 Charts Shift examples illustrated below.
