Objects Listing on Charts Menu on the MT4

On the MT4 platform, charts menu options, the second button is the 'Objects' listing button. Objects list is used to display a listing of all object that are placed on the chart, this list will include objects such as trading indicators, trendlines, text labels and any object that has been placed on MetaTrader chart.

Objects Listing

The objects listing menu has the following submenu options:

  1. Objects List
  2. Delete Last
  3. Delete All Selected
  4. Delete All Arrows
  5. Unselect All
  6. Undo Delete

The first option is the 'Objects Listing'

To view all the objects that are set on the chart that you're trading, click the objects listing button, this will show a list of all objects on the chart just like the on the illustrations displayed and shown below:

On this chart, the objects appear as shown. To delete them all, select everything, check the box on the left, and click delete.

Show - This option will show the object selected and chosen & locate it on the chart.

Edit - Can be used to edit any of the objects within this 'objects list'

The other submenu items on this objects listing are:

  • Delete Last - Delete the last object that was placed on the trading chart
  • Delete All Selected - Select some objects by double-clicking on them, then choose this option to delete all selected.
  • Delete All Arrows - Deletes all the arrows
  • Unselect All - Unselect all the objects that might have been chosen and selected on the charts.
  • Undo Delete - Undo a delete and put back a deleted object on the trading chart

To view objects list, directly using a short-cut a gold trader can press key-board buttons 'Ctrl+B' as a short cut to this menu.
