Place Zigzag Indicator in Chart in MetaTrader 4

How to Place Indicators on Meta Trader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click it) & then choose "Navigator" window (click), or From Standard ToolBar click "Navigator" button or press keyboard short cut keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator panel, choose "Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking expand button marked (+) or double click "indicators" menu, after this the button will then now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a listing as illustrated below.

From the Above panel you can then add any indicator you want on the chart.

Placing Zig-zag on Chart

Step 1: Choose the Zigzag button key in the MT4 listing of indicators as pictured below:

Step 2: Double click the Zigzag Button Key, and click okay to place it on the chart as shown below:

Edit Zigzag Indicator Settings

To Adjust the Settings, right click in the Zigzag, select properties setting & then edit properties using the popup menu that pops up and then click ok button key once you've changed the settings.

The following popup panel pops up and the Zigzag settings can be edited from this pop up window panel.
