How to Place Technical Indicators on MetaTrader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window Panel

Open the Navigator panel as illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click it) & then choose "Navigator" window (click), or From Standard ToolBar click "Navigator" button or press key-board short cut keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator panel, choose "Indicators", (Double Press)

Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicator Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking the expand (+) button marked (+) or doubleclick "indicators" menu, after this the button then will now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a listing as illustrated and shown below.

From the Above panel you as a trader can then add any indicator you want on to the chart.

Placing Zig-zag on Chart

Step 1: Choose the Zigzag button key in the MT4 listing of indicators as pictured below:

Step 2: Double click the Zigzag Button Key, and click okay button to place it on the trading chart as displayed below:

Edit Zigzag Indicator Settings

To Adjust the Settings, right click in the Zigzag, select properties setting & then edit properties using the pop up menu which pops and then click ok button once you have changed the settings.

The following popup panel pops up and the Zigzag settings can be edited from this pop-up window panel.
